Always Do Good

Verse of the day: 1 Peter 2:20 – What credit is there if you endure harsh treatment for doing wrong? But if you suffer for doing good and endure it, this is commendable before God.

Reflection: No matter the level of sacrifice you make for others, expect that one day they might turn against you. Do not hope for any recognition. If this is the case, let all glory be to God (Elohim) alone. Do not expect gratitude from anyone. During His time on earth, Jesus Christ raised Lazarus from the dead, and fed thousands of people, and what did He receive in return? Know that you cannot please everyone. But continue to be good. If you remain good, God (Elohim) will eventually reward you.

Prayer: Lord, the feeling of discouragement wants to overwhelm me due to the misunderstanding of others, but I remember your command to love and help. I pray that you help me follow it because I feel incapable. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray.
