Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7) Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7)
Verse: Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection: The question of life’s purpose is as old as humanity itself. For some, it is about finding happiness or personal fulfillment.
It’s not negative to want to pursue higher education, to have money, to get married, to have children, etc.
But, what comes after that?
You preach you evangelize, you worship excellently…
But, what comes after that?
If you agree that we are pilgrims and that we won’t stay on earth forever, this question should resonate with us. After our time on earth, what comes next?
Whatever we achieve, our goal should be shaped by and aspire to see Jesus Christ face to face, either through the rapture or through death.
Prayer: Lord, help me to cultivate deep and sincere relationships with you. My actions, my daily life, and my choices should truly reflect a sanctified and genuinely regenerated life in Jesus Christ. I want to achieve great things during my earthly life, but the most important thing is to gain the eternal salvation offered to me by the death of your only Son. Grant me wisdom, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask. Amen.
