Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7) Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7)
Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:31 “But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.”
Reflection: The vicissitudes of life sometimes prevent us from focusing on the essential, which is Jesus Christ. In our impatience, we tend to take matters into our own hands. As a result, we often stumble, lose our way, feel weary, and lose our bearings, because our ways are not God’s (Elohim).
The Bible tells the story of Ruth and Naomi, who left their country without consulting the Lord, seeking a better life elsewhere, only to face disappointment contrary to their expectations.
We know that when we surrender to God (Elohim), we see His promises fulfilled in astonishing ways because He knows our needs better than we do.
Our forefathers in faith accepted to follow God’s (Elohim) path and they succeeded. Jesus Christ, our elder brother, followed God’s (Elohim) path; we gain eternal salvation through His obedience. Imagine if Jesus Christ had chosen a different route!
You may not know your exact destiny on earth, but what is certain is that if you follow God’s (Elohim) path, you will surely succeed.
God’s (Elohim) path is always the best. Trust Him.
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust in all Your promises. I no longer want to continue fighting on my own. From today, I entrust my entire life into Your hands because You are a responsible Father. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen!
