Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7) Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7)
Verse: “To the victorious one, I will give some hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.” – Revelation 2:17
Reflection: This morning, let’s meditate on the promise of a new name. In this verse, Jesus promises a special reward to those who overcome trials and remain faithful: a new name engraved on a white stone. A new name symbolizes a new identity, a profound and intimate transformation that only God can work in us. This name, known only to the one who receives it, represents God’s personal and unique relationship with each of us.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for the promise of a new identity in you. Help me overcome life’s challenges with faith and determination, knowing that you have prepared a new name and a special place for me in your kingdom. Renew my heart and mind daily, and make me a new creation for your glory. Amen.
Action: Today, reflect on your relationship with God. Take a few moments to write down what having a new identity in Christ means to you. How does it change your perspective on daily life? Seek to live according to this new identity by being a living testimony of the transformation God has worked in you.
Meditation: Take a few minutes to meditate on this verse. Imagine receiving this white stone with a new name written on it. Reflect on what this new name might be and what it means to you. Let this image fill your heart with peace and gratitude for God’s promise.
Starting your day with this devotion can help you remember the new identity you have in Christ and live each day with a renewed perspective. May your day be blessed and filled with divine presence!
