Verse of the Day: “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 2:5)
Meditation: To have the same attitude as someone means to copy and imitate them in all things. It means to think like them, act like them, and so on.
To obey this command from the Apostle Paul is to strive to possess the fruit of the Spirit, to live for and through Jesus Christ, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Let’s take a closer look at some traits of Jesus Christ.
He Was Humble and Obedient: He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross (Philippians 2:8).
He Was Righteous and Devout: His piety was why God (Elohim) heard His cries of distress before the death on the cross (Hebrews 5:7-8).
He Was Just and Upright: “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52).
He had:
- Faith in God (Elohim), His Father
- Patience
- Wisdom
- Concern for souls
- And more…
Reflection: Strive to have the same attitude that was in Christ Jesus, as the Apostle Peter encourages us in his second epistle, chapter 1, verses 5 to 7.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your promise of purity and victory. Help me to remain faithful and integral, despite the trials and tribulations I may encounter. Give me the strength to maintain my faith in Your only Son, Jesus Christ, and to persevere until the end, so that I may receive this white robe of purity and victory. May I always be aware of Your presence and love in my life? In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Conclusion: Remember that the bad days we face in this world are only temporary, and God (Elohim) has prepared an eternal reward in Jesus Christ for those who remain faithful to Him. Be proud of your faith in Jesus Christ, knowing you are chosen, honored, and recognized by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thus, you will be perfect as Jesus Christ wants. (Matthew 5:48)
