Unwavering Spirit to Overcome All

Verse:  At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray to God that it may not be laid to their charge.

Reflection: When you are going through a difficult situation, do not isolate yourself. Instead, share your feelings. This will help you release and lighten your burden a little. Isolation can plunge us into negative thoughts, so it is important not to remain submerged in them. God created us to live in community, and sometimes we need to communicate with one another to live better together.

Often, in the most challenging times of our lives, we face our trials alone, with very few people by our side. In 2 Timothy 4:16, the Apostle Paul speaks of his loneliness in the face of suffering: he states that at his first trial, no one stood by him, and he felt abandoned. This passage illustrates how difficult it can be to find valuable support during great distress. It reminds us of the importance of not staying isolated and sharing our struggles with others.

Consequently, God may sometimes confront us with solitude to establish communion with us. In this solitude you are experiencing, God wants to speak to you and draw your attention to a specific point, provided He imposes it. It is sometimes difficult to hear God’s voice when we are overwhelmed by the concerns of this world. At that moment, we distance ourselves from Him and do not realize that we are giving ourselves less time to meditate on Him.

Let us encourage one another, brothers and sisters, so that we may draw strength from each other.

May the Lord Jesus Christ grant you his unmatched strength in the storms you are currently facing and fill you with resilience. Ask Him for discernment to choose the right person with whom to share your feelings, for not everyone is worthy of knowing your problems and concerns.
