There are wounds that the eye cannot see—silent pains we carry in our hearts: betrayal, loss, rejection, abuse, loneliness… These deep wounds, often invisible, can leave us shattered on the inside. But the good news is: Jesus sees broken hearts, and He came to heal them.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
When Jesus came to earth, He didn’t just heal physical illnesses — He also touched the soul. He lifted the weak, restored the outcast, and comforted the grieving. His love goes beyond what the eyes can see. It reaches where no one else can: the heart.
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me… He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted.” — Luke 4:18 (quoting Isaiah 61:1)
Do you feel broken? Ignored? Misunderstood? Know this: you are not alone. Jesus sees your heart. He understands the depth of your pain and invites you to come to Him.
Mary Magdalene was tormented, possessed by seven demons (Luke 8:2). We can imagine how shattered her heart and life must have been — rejected by society, isolated in her pain. But Jesus didn’t look away. He delivered her, healed her, and restored her identity.
She became one of His most faithful followers, present at the cross when others fled, and the first to witness the risen Christ (John 20:11–18).
What a powerful testimony that Jesus heals the most broken hearts and turns them into powerful witnesses of His grace!
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Lord Jesus, I come to You with my broken heart. You know my pain, my struggles, my hidden wounds. I give them to You today. Come and touch my heart. Heal what no one else can see. Fill me with Your love, Your peace, and Your new life. Thank You for being near to the brokenhearted. Amen.
The world breaks, but Jesus restores. People reject, but Jesus embraces. Wounds hurt, but Jesus heals.
He did it for Mary, He did it for many others, and He can do it for you. Let Him take your heart — even in pieces — and watch Him make something new.
“Behold, I make all things new.” — Revelation 21:5
