Have you ever noticed how the seasons of life shift unexpectedly, much like the natural seasons of the year? At times, we experience warmth and growth like summer, and other times bring cold and hardship like winter. Through all these transitions, there is one comforting truth: Jesus is the Lord of every season.
Scripture teaches us that there is a time and season for everything under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Just as He established the rhythms of nature, God also orchestrates the seasons of our lives. When life changes course, it’s vital to remember that Jesus remains sovereign through it all.
Spring brings fresh beginnings, life, and vibrant growth after long periods of dormancy. Likewise, when we turn our hearts to Jesus, He brings renewal and makes all things new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
Summer symbolizes warmth, light, and fruitful growth. When we abide in Christ, our faith flourishes, and His Word nurtures our souls.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
— John 15:5
Autumn is the time of harvest, a season to gather the fruits of our labor and offer thanksgiving. As we walk with Jesus, we begin to see spiritual blessings unfold in our lives.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
— Ephesians 1:3
Winter often brings stillness and reflection, yet beneath the surface, God is preparing for renewal. In our personal “winters,” when trials arise, Jesus strengthens our faith and walks with us through the cold.
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
— Romans 8:37
Whether you’re in a season of joy or struggle, growth or waiting—Jesus is present. He transforms, strengthens, and guides us through it all. He doesn’t just allow seasons to change—He changes the seasons for our good and His glory.
May His peace and grace surround you, no matter what season you’re in.
Amen.
📖 Reflection Question:
Which season of life are you in right now, and how can you invite Jesus to walk with you more closely in it?
