Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7) Le sermon sur la Montagne (Mathieu 5,6,7)
Verse: Psalm 121:4: Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Reflection: You may be going through difficult times, but know that God is with you and you are not alone. There are people ready to face these storms, these winds, and these shipwrecks with you, even when everything seems dark, and you wonder who could see or hear you.
I want to remind you that you serve a God who neither slumbers nor sleeps, as Psalm 121:4 says. If He slept, neither you nor I would have been alive for long.
In the end, you realize that you have never been surrounded: your family and so-called friends are not there when you need them most. You then understand that you may have been too attached to certain people. It might be time to detach from these vain ties and give up the hope you had placed in them. Let me tell you that God will always be with you, until the end of the world. Do not think that the friends who are with you today, those who claim to love you, will always be present. Over time, some drift away while others mature; in life, it is important not to become attached to anyone.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you because you are a faithful God, a God who never betrays. Despite the circumstances, you remain by my side. I know that man is but a handful of dust and that, as you say in your word, placing trust in man is illusory. But when I place my trust in you, I am fully reassured. May your Name be blessed forever and ever. Amen.
